Painting

Paint is usually dry to the touch within hours, but full curing can take up to two to four weeks, so it's worth handling freshly painted surfaces gently during that window.

More than most people expect. Patching, sanding, and priming often take as long as the painting itself, and skipping prep is the most common reason a paint job doesn't last.

Generally, paint first, then install flooring, so you don't have to protect new floors during painting and can touch up baseboards afterward if needed.
